Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

civil contempt

My juvenile daughter was in a raid and put on probation. For a short period she was on home detention. While on home detention, a probation officer came to my home an came in due to no answer at the door. During that time we (my partner and I)had company and marijuana was in the air. I was directed by a judge that I was to have a drug evaluation done. I did the drug eval and was told I need to do a intensive program 9-2 m-f. I have 4 other children a grandchild and a elderly father that I also provide care for and that is impossible.

Re: civil contempt

Hello and Happy New Year. I suggests

that you retain a lawyer to see if the

conditions of the program can be modified to allow you time to care for your family. This is a very serious situation that needs to be resolved quickly. The judge does have the power to enforce his order. I will be happy to discuss this with you further and in more detail.
