Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Class 2 Felony Length of Parole

I was convicted on a class 2 Felony In 2001. I was in County jail for 11 months and served 4 months in Robinson correctional. I was released on June 20th 2001. When I was released I was told I would have 2 years or Parole.I am alos on Electonic monitior. Now I was told last week that my parole is for 4 years for no reason. So what I would like to know is why is my parole time longer than my orignal sentnce? And if I have to serve 4 years of parole do I have the electronic monitor the whole time or is it suppose to be on only for the first 2 years. Is there anything else I can do legally? Please help.

Re: Class 2 Felony Length of Parole

Check the conditions of your parole and what has been officially recorded as the decision in your case. It should give you insight - also, ask your lawyer to explain your circumstances to you.
