Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Someone close to me was involved with prescription fraud/forgery. A detective notifed me that I could be arrested and charged two counts of fraud for dropping off a prescription once and picking up one (neither were in my name) - he said he had video surveillance. I was not otherwise involved in the fraud (i.e. writing them out, taking them, etc.). This close someone later told me that he had tried to use my name a few months ago but because I didn't have insurance, he never picked it up; nor did I, I was unaware of it. Can I be arrested for this and charged?! I've picked up prescriptions for family before without any suspicion.

You should not post or write anything else about this situation. You should contact a lawyer and the lawyer can speak to the detective to find out the situation. This is a potentially serious charge. Please feel fee free to contact me if you would like further assistance.
