Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Conditional Discharge
I plead guilty to a domestic battery in 1994 even though I was innocent of this crime. (I would never had plead guilty had I known that the unconstitutional law known as the Lautneberg amendment would take affect in 1996/7). I plead guilty and received a conditional discharge. I followed the rules and did what I was ordered to do. I want to knwo if I can get this charge expunged off of my record? Thank you.

Re: Conditional Discharge
Hello. As long as you did not plead guilty to
a felony, the charge can be expunged from your
record. If you have any additional questions,
I will be happy to answer them.
