You will have to wait for 2 years after the supervision is up before you can expunge your record.
Re: I'm confused
Generally, to have a supervision expunged, you need to successfully complete the supervision and then wait two years. During the period of supervision and the two year follow up you need to have no more problems.
I am wondering about the facts of your criminal charge, if it was serious or minor. There is one extreme possibility if this is truly inhibiting your work. It would depend upon the state's attorney's cooperation, and I do not know if that would be forthcoming. If you successfully completed the supervision without problem there is some slim chance of returning to court and requesting the case be dismissed. That is a rare happening, but may apply in your case.

Re: I'm confused
There is probably a simple solution to this in the form of an expungement petition being filed and approved by the court. An attorney will draw up the papers and attend court if necessary and you probably won't have to let this affect your career further. If your case was a misdemeanor and you received supervision, it should be expungeable two years after your supervision ended. Feel free to call us for the best rates!
