Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
What can be the consequences of an assault charge? My son was involved in what appears to be road rage; I was not there. On his driving ticket assault is mentioned. It was stated that the other driver flagged down a policeman.

could be a misdemeanor or Felony depending on how it is charged. A Felony would be a disaster. Up to 3 years in Prison and loss of many privileges.. Misdemeanor is punishable by up to 364 days in county jail and/or a $2500.00 fine
