Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

court and hospitals

my Husband missed a court date because he was in the hospital in a coma. I faxed the papers to the states attorney but they still issued a warrant. Now they are not returning my phone calls and i was told I would need to hire a private attorney to quash the warrant? Is this legal?

Yes. Hire an attorney and provide the proof of your husband's hospitalization. The attorney will get the warrant quashed.

Re: court and hospitals

You need an attorney to present the proof of hospitalization to the court. Your husband must be there. Once that is done, the court will recall the warrant. Please call for a free consultation.
