Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

A friend helped with paying a bill two years ago and allowed me to use his credit card.. recently, he told me he was going to turn me in for credit card forgery because he had my signature on his credit card charge.. I have a prior felony and am concerned that he can really do this.. is he right?
