Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Criminal Misdemeanor
my daughter rented a house (with someone else). On the lease it doen't say items were furnished. After moving she found out the tenant she shared with took items that were there prior to her moving in. She was charged with Criminal Misdemeanor. The complaining withness had died prior to pre-trial, there was an incomplete discovery submitted. My daughter's lease shows NO items listed as furnished, What motions should my daughter file to have the case dismissed?

This is the type of case your daughter should have a lawyer for. If neither you nor your daughter can afford a lawyer, then she should ask that a public defender be appointed to represent her.
