If I have a criminal record in Illinois can I move to another state and become a lawyer in that state?

On any bar application in any state, you will be required to fully disclose all criminal history. Depending on the charges, conviction, etc., you may or may not be able to become licensed as an attorney. You need to check the bar's rules in the state in which you wish to become an attorney.
