criminal sentencing
i plead guilty to a class 2 case.they gave me six years .i just found out i was sentenced as a class x offender.my attorney had no knowledge of this

You should contact your lawyer to see whether he or she can file a Motion to review and correct the sentencing if there was an error.

In order to sentence you as a class x offender, they must allege in the indicment or information that you have 2 prior class 2 (or higher class) convictions or better. They must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. However, you plead guilty. that may change everything. Please call for an appointment.
