Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Criminal Trespass of Motor Vehicle

My 17 year old son was arrested at high school for criminal trespass of motor vehicle. He removed a parking pass from the visor of a car. They did fingerprint him and we had to post $30 for bond to release him from police custody. The court date is scheduled for September 28th and we are moving to AZ. on the 15th. What steps should I take? And does he have to be present for the court date? If not what steps are required by the law to take care of this situation?

Thank You Very Much

Re: Criminal Trespass of Motor Vehicle

Hello. Your son needs representation and he should be in court. If he fails to appear, the

court will issue a warrant for his arrest and the

bond will probably be a lot more than $30. Also,

he can be convicted of the charge, even if he

is not in court. I will be happy to answer any

additional question that you might have.
