my husband was wondering how could he can get a copy of his criminial records.

Call the clerk of the circuit court in the county where he was sentenced.

No problem, just contact the clek of courts where the conviction occurred to get a copy of the entry with the conviction. The clerk will ask for a birthdate or a case number or a social security number for verification that they have the correct entry. There will be a fee for this so be prepared, but it should not be more than a few bucks.
