Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My dad is currently sueing a guy's insurance company because he fell in a hole on his property and tore his knee. The guy is upset about it so came to my dad's residence and started taking pictures of him on his property. My dad was very upset about this and took his camera cell phone and threw it in water. Now this guy went to the police saying my dad robbed him and is pressing charges against him for this. Is this legal? What should my dad do?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Your dad should hire an attorney to represent him on the criminal charge. His attorney may be ableto get the case dropped or perhaps get a plea bargain that will avoid jail time or a conviction on your Dad's record. Depending upon the location, I might be able to offer him my services for a reasonable fee. Please feel free to have him contact me for a consultation.
