My daughter is in jail for deseptive practice, her bond is set for $2500 that is %10. Could you please tell me if this is a class 4 felony & if so what kind of time is she looking at?

Re: Deseptive practice

The charge may be a class 4 felony. It depends upon the amount involved in the deceptive practice, or if your daughter has prior convictions for this type of crime. If it has been charged as a felony, the time involved is from 1 to 3 years in the penitentiary.

It may qualify as a class A misdemeanor, in which case it carries a potential sentence of up to 364 days in jail.

In either event that are sentencing options that do not include jail time such as conditional discharge or probation. You surely should contact a lawyer.
