Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
How can I get a disorderly conduct charge dropped or dismissed? I believe the arresting officer said i disturbed one of my friend's neighbors for standing in their yard suspiciously. I was only charged with disorderly conduct and have no criminal record. Thanks.

You have a few options. The only sure fire way to get your charge dismissed is by winning at trial. A lawyer can represent you and negotiate with the prosecutor as well. The likely outcome to your disorderly charge is that the prosecutor will likely offer you community service or supervision. If you don't want to accept those offers you can have a trial. After an attorney reviews your case, he/she can tell you what the likelihood of winning at trial is.
feel free to call if you'd like to discuss your matter further,
good luck

You know that there are many different factors that may contribute to determine the outcome in any given case such as yours In what jurisdicton is the charge against you pending? That is, where is your court date scheduled? Are you charged with violating a municipal ordinance, count ordinance or state staute? Who is the prosecutor, state's attorney in charge of the prosecution? Who is the Judge assigned to the case? Who is the complaining witness? Are there other witnesses? Who are they? What are all of the facts on both sides of the case? These are just some examples, and you need to hire an attorney in you geographical area who is expereinced in handling this type of matter.Your attorney can then do his, or her, job and give you the advice that you need. If you are in my area I might be able to help you myself.
