Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
DNA results
I have a friend who was charged with first degree murder in Illinois. On one court date, he was told that the DNA results did not link him to the crime. However, several months later, on another court date, he was told the DNA results did link him to the crime. How could the results of the DNA evidence have changed? Also, how long does it take to receive the results of a DNA test in criminal court? His took ten months.

Re: DNA results
This person needs an attorney. DNA results timeliness depends on the labs not the courts.
