Re: domestic assult
The penalties for domestic battery in Illinois are a possible 364 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $2500. A first time offender is not likely to receive those penalties, but for domestic battery, the offender is not eligible for supervision, whether it is the first time or not. You should check with counsel regarding your situation, since there are some possibilities for keeping one's criminal record clean, such as a reduction to regular battery. I would be happy to consult on this matter at 630-243-0099.
