Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Domestic battery charge
I am charged with domestic battery. The person I am charged with hitting is not going to show up in court. If I plead not guilty, what would the chances be that they will throw out the charges?

Re: Domestic battery charge
The chances of the state dismissing the cases depends on a number of factors including, your background, the injuries the complaining witness, which county you are in, which court house, and whether you are represented by an attorney and ready for trial.
