Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

drug charge
I was over at my grandpas house and while i was there my cousins parole officer came in told me and anouther kid to go back down stairs when we get down stair he could smell pot in the air when he asked about it i told him we smoked just a little bit ago and that I didn't have anymore on me and i gave him an empty container he told me to sit on the coutch my cousin then gave him his stash a 1/4 of an ounce of weed a hitterbox a bowl and anouther hitter he seid he was going to search the room and called police for back up when he searched the room he found a 93 grams of weed he arrested my cousin and i for posetion with intent to deliver when we got down to the station my cousin admitted that the weed was his but I was selling it for him and i was not I have 3 people that will tesify on my behalf that I was not selling it and it was not mine and 1 of the people is the person who bought off of him and took him to pick it up. when I was in handcuffs waling out the door my mom heard his parole officer say that they where going to pin the drugs on me and not him becouse the parole officer didn't want him to go back to prison. please tell me what I should do

Your cousin's statement that you sold marijuana for him cannot be used against you. That's his statement, not yours. I am assuming you didn't make a statement beyond what you said. That statement should get you separate trials so you won't be prejudiced by it before a jury. There are a lot of things that have to be done that you don't know about. Hire a lawyer.
