Re: drug trafficking

Hello. Generally if a person is found not guilty

of a crime in Illinois, they are entitled to have the arrest expunged from their record. In Illinois, the State Police report arrests to the FBI. A petition to expunge an arrest record in Illinois should be filed with the Court where the case was assigned. There is a fee for this. Once this fee is paid with the filing of the Motion To Expunge, the person will also receive a separate bill from the Illinois State Police. It will be necessary to then appear in Court, preferably with an attorney, after giving notice to the Court and the Office of the State's Attorney where the case was assigned. I hope my answer has been helpful. Will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have. My answer here is for an Illinois expungment where

the charge against the person was brought in an Illinois Court of Law.
