Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Expugement or alternative
My boyfriend was convicted of felony forgery at 15 years old. His sentence was 3 years probation and restitution. When it was all said and done with it was 1 count with 8 charges, now he is 23 and is looking at joining the Navy and they told him they can't take him because of the way things are on his record. The counts and charges have somehow spred out or something is there something we can do to, expungment or otherwise? I hope that is enough information. And any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Re: Expugement or alternative
I would need to know if this was an adult
or a juvenile conviction. One option might
be to apply for a pardon from the governor.
