Expungment
how does a person with a armed robery felony charge get their record expunged/sealed? is there a time limit or would they be able to start the process now.

Hello. A felony conviction cannot be expunged in
Illinois. However, it is possible to seek a pardon from the governor. The prisoner's review
board has to be contacted. A petition must be
prepared and sent to the review board and then
your matter is scheduled for a hearing before
a panel which makes recommendations to the governor as to whether, in its opinion, a person should be granted a pardon from a felony conviction. I will be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have.
