Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

expungment in the state of Illinois

I plead guilty to a felony {attempted burglary} in 1986 and I was wondering the truth of getting this expunged from my record, this was a first offense. What is the course of action that I should follow if it is at all possible to remove this. I have been told that I cannot get this done but a web site { expungment assitant services} offers and gaurntees that this can be done in a matter of 90 days or less. Any information would be most apperciated. I have talked to a law firm in chicago and they also said that this cannot be done . I simply want the truth on this matter.

Re: expungment in the state of Illinois

you cannot expunge a felony conviction. Whoever guaranteed you that they can expunge your conviction in 90 days either didn't know all the facts, or is stupid, or is lying to you to get your money. Besides, if this person is not a lawyer, he is committing a felony by practicing law without a license.

You can attempt to get it expunged by filing a petition for clemency with the governor. Please call me if you would like me to assist you.
