An arrest warrant for not paying the court fines was issued against me. I was arrested even though I paid everything on time and have a receipt. Can I sue a police department for a false arrest?

Hello. Yes, in my opinion you do have a basis for filing a lawsuit for false arrest. This would have to be filed in State Court/Circuit Court in the County where this occurred. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
