Am I at Fault
A women tries to assault your mother, so to stop the offense you push the offender. Are you at fault?

The easy answer to this is "no." You have a right to defend another. How would a reasonable person act? The key to that question is how would YOU as a reasonable person act? That is a question for the judge or jury to resolve.
