Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
felony case
I plead guilty on money laundery . Ive been sentence to eighteen months as of feb 12. Is there something i can do on requeting to be sent to campus or half away home?thi8s case is in the state of illinois but the judge let me serve time in the state of california because this is where my family is at.

Sorry you felt you had to plead guilty. When you first arrive you will spend 90 days or so undergoing a process called "classification" to determine whether you will be in security level I, II, III, or IV. For you, probably I. The best you are likely to get is "fire camp," a low security facility where you will occasionally be called upon do dig fire breaks. Best of luck to you and be careful.
