Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My Fiance got arrested in march for selling drugs and got out on bail and his mom got him a lawyer and expected him to pay for it. The Lawyer expected to get paid $10000 more by the end of the year. My Fiance since then has failed his drug test for probation and is in jail until Feb 4th. His Lawyer wrote him a letter telling him he is not representing him anymore and he has court on Jan 24 and 25. Is he going to get the maximum sentence since he has no lawyer and will he have a warrent? How can he get a lawyer. No one has the money to pay for another lawyer since we still have to pay the last one. What's going to happen?
