is is possible for my fiance's case to be some how over turned even though he's already gone to court and has been convicted? He's already served the majority of his time is there a way the we can try to get him home earlier and how do i find out if any new laws have been passed to help his case?

Re: my fiance's incarceration
Hello. Since your fiance has been convicted and more than 30 days have passed, the question of whether he is eligible for early release is usually a matter to be determined by the Illinois Department of Corrections parole board. The Illinois Department of Corrections can be contacted for this information and having a lawyer to assist with this phase is advisable, in my opinion. I was recently contacted concerning a similar situation here in Chicago. That individual has
been physically and sexually abused in jail and his family is attempting to get an early release for him. I am not his original attorney, but am investigating to see whether the prision system will change the conditions of his confinement. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
