You can file a pro se motion, however, the opposing side is entitled to 72 hours notice of your motion. The opposing side may waive notice of your motion. It will depend on the type of motion you are filing. You will not lose your motion but the judge will likely give the opposing side a continuance to prepare a response to your motion.
good luck
