Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I just found out there is a felony charge on my record from 1987 which has never came up before how can I get this expunge off my recored I have never been in trouble legal so my record should be clean

Hello. My answer is based upon the information provided by you on this website. I suggests that you hire a lawyer to pull the file to see what shows up. If there is no conviction, and the case is over, then you should be able to have the record expunged. Otherwise, if the felony shows a conviction, a pardon from the Illinois Governor is the only way to make this go away. A decision to grant a pardon is totally within the discretion of the Governor. I can make addtional suggestions and comments.
