Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
In for Fraud
My friend was recently arrested for Criminal fraud. Hes in jail right now. He thinks if he pays this guy on the side and has something signed sayin he will drop the charges he will be able to get out of jail. Is there any possible way that if this guy does agree to take the money and drop the charges, but then can he turn around and come with another lawsuit for conspiracy or something like that?

Re: In for Fraud
Hello. I suggests that your friend not try to work out any deal with the
witness. Any deals or compromises should be entered into with the Court
and the State's Attorney involved.
