Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
my friend's daughter is in jail being charged with armed robbery in illinois, has not had a trial, hearing has been continued what will be 2 yrs in upcoming april. prosecution wants her to testify against the actual perpetrators whom she was with but, is not offering her any kind of plea deal for her testimony. Should she testify against them without a plea deal or not testify unless they offer her one?

In my opinion, your friend's daughter should be offered witness protection and a plea deal. To do otherwise is a waste of her time and may put her safety at risk.
