Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

fugitive

Seven years ago I screwed up and got a felony and a couple dui's. I left state and have since not been back. I have no charges or convictions in any state since. But I now have a two year old I don't want to be away from for long. I realize I will probably face some jail time and probation but will I be able to do that where I currently reside?( the Probation) Or I am I destined to have to leave my kid for a couple years to clear up these warrants?

Re: fugitive

From your question I am not sure where the charges are pending, but probation can be transferred out of state.

Re: fugitive

Probation is possible. However, you may also have a bail jumping charge against you now. If your cases are in the Chicago area, please call for a consultation.
