Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I took my ex girlfriends ATM card and removed monies without her consent. I have since repaid her the money in its entirety. Am I at any risk now, criminally? Could she try to prosecute me or go to the police? We are not on good terms and am sort of fearful of this.

Restitution does NOT absolve you of the crime, which was complete when you withdrew the funds; in fact if anything it's an admission of sorts. But why the police would take action if you've repaid her in full and no longer have access to her property, is an unknown.
