Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My grandson (just turned 17) was charged with armed robbery 3 years ago. His attorney was able to get the charges reduce to aggravaited robbery because of his mental history (ADHA, BI-POLAR). He now has a felony conviction on his record, he received 2 years probation with court supervision. He has satisfied the court order and is now off probation. I've been told that a felony cannot be removed from his record and that this will be with him forever. Can it be removed and if so how would it be done.
