Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Harrasement
What is a viable course of action when...
Boyfriend of a female acquaintance (whom I've not seen in months) has recently gotten out of rehab (crack cocaine) for the Xth number of time(s) has started harrassing me again!
Boyfriend has threaten to kill me twice (via cell phone voice mail), sent several anonymous abusive emails (which I've kept); has left a badly worded cut & paste note for my wife (that I intercepted and kept), and most recently rung my home door bell ''...warning me for the last time to stay away from his woman''?
My wish is that he has no contact in any form or fashion with me and/or my family!

Re: Harrasement
Try a restraining order. If he is making threats, you should stand a good chance of getting some kind of protective order in place.
