Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Hey I need some advice answer anything at this point. My fiance was found guilty on murder in 97 he received a 60 year sentence. He done 15 years already and he have 15 more before he see the parole board is there anyway he can got a sentence reduction he never gotten in trouble since he been in there. He is currently in barber school he been in there since he been in prison no prior arrest record. Do you think he has a chance and would a lawyer take this case and for around how much. I need him home please help ready to pay for a good lawyer. He's only trying to get his time cut down.

The best option in my opinion would be to file a petition for clemency asking for a commutation of sentence. The governor can reduce a sentence.
