hit my boyfriend

I was in jail and im bond hearing was yesterday for hiting my boyfriend in the face. boyfriend didnt want to press charges, so the officer did. I have to go back to court next week. i have a public defender, Will i go to jail for this crime. This is my first offense.

You have the Public Defender, so why didn't you ask him/her? If I'm right, its because they didn't give you any time so you could ask questions. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. You pay nothing so you get nothing from the public defender. If you want a lawyer who will answer your questions and actually represent you in court, please call for a free consultation.
