Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My husband of one year has a 22 year old son who has come into my home to visit. The son does not live with me. I have owned my home and lived in it for 27 years. He has gone through the cabinets and stolen perscription medicine and sold it on the street for money. He has previously served time in an Illinois prison for burgulary. Also, He has brought into my home an undesireable person acting like they were just visiting. thsi visitor was released from a Tennessee prison.I do not want this person or persons in my home or around my property anymore. I have been teaching at the same school for 33 years and I am ready to retire in just 2 more years. How do I go about the proper or legal way to achieve my goal.

The person you are complaining about it your step son but he is not a minor dependent. You might exercise some diplomacy by asking your husband to suggest a solution. My solution would be for the boy to get a job and live independently. You change the locks.
