Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Illegal Entry?

My oldest son, whom is 18 moved out of our house about 1 1/2 months ago under other than friendly terms. Myself and my wife left town this past weekend for 2 days. No sooner had we left, we found out he at come to our home and gained entry. He proceded to take a shower, take a nap, help himself to some food from the freezer, and then throw a beer party. He stayed all night and left early the next morning. I am fed up with him and want to press charges. What, if anything can I try to charge him with? He is denying he was even here, even though we have at least 2 people who have said he was and his shirt he was wearing was laying on the floor in one of our bedrooms.

Re: Illegal Entry?

There is the possibility of burglary charges. He had no authority to enter, and he stole your food. A lesser offense might by criminal tresspass to property. Good luck.
