Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Illinois Criminal Background
Over 7 years ago I was charged with Aggr. Assault in Bloomington/Normal, IL. I reside in KY and always have, I was just up there visiting some friends. I took a plea and plead guilty and just paid a fine but I can't remember to what charge. To try and find out I got a criminal background check through the IL State Police, but it came up clear. What's the deal, what can I do now?

Re: Illinois Criminal Background
Hello. If the charge was not found
by the Illinois State Police, it may
have been dismissed. Certainly if it
was there, the Illinois State Police
would find it. You may want to check with the courthouse clerk to see what shows up. I hope my comments have been helpful. Will be happy to discuss
this further and in more detail.
