An investigative alert is an alert by the police department to bring you in for questioning. It is important to know that you are not under arrest and do not have to go in to the station with the police. If the police want to take you to the police station they will have to arrest you. However, if you want to discuss your matter with the police you can request that an attorney be present during your questioning to protect your rights.
If you would like to discuss your matter in greater detail do not hesitate to contact my office.
good luck
