Re: kleptomania

I once successfully defended a person based upon a diagnosis of kleptomania. While the case was not dismssed, we did avoid prison by arranging mental health treatment. I understand something of the issue and you need appropriate professional evaluation and ongoing assistance. Feel free to contact my office.

Re: kleptomania

You definitely need the best criminal defense attorney you can afford. I would certainly want to get a professional diagnosis and plan of treatment in place as soon as possible. We may need to take the expert's deposition or even have the expert testify in court. Or, it is possible that the state's attorney and judge will agree to some type of disposition in your case(s) that will allow you to continue caring for your dependents. If you do not already have an attorney, I would be happy to offer my services or help you to find an attorney in your area. Please feel free to give me a call.

A treatment plan is highly recommended. You have not started treatment then you should plan on starting soon. The Judge and State will want to see that you are taking steps to resolve your problems. You will also want to hire an attorney to workout the best deal possible. Please contact me so that we can discuss this further.
