Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Left the scene of a minor auto accident

I was involved in a minor auto accident in a parking lot . Our vehicles bumped into each other when backing out of parking stalls . The other party started acting belligerent . I could not see any damage to the other vehicle so I chose to leave .

Now, two months later I get a letter from the local police requesting that I come and speak to them about this or they will have my license suspended . what can I expect from this ?

You can expect to be arrested for leaving the scene of an accident. I have had numerous such cases, where the police call or send a postcard requesting someone in this situation to come in to talk, and then "CLICK", the handcuffs are on.

You can avoid this by hiring an attorney to represent you NOW. Good luck.
