Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Can legally earned money seized in a drug arrest be forefeited?
I was arrested on drug charges a day after I was paid at work and authorities seized my money calling it drug money. I have proof it was legally earned. What provision of law protects you from forefeiture of legal money in this situation?

The money should not be forfeited without a hearing.
