Are you saying somebody posed as you (identity theft) and you are being blamed for something that person did? I would concentrate first on the identity theft because there could be criminal penalties. As to the identity theft you can certainly sue anyone who posed as you for your damages. The place to start is the police department that issued whatever the citation is, and you ought to appear in court. You may need to get a continuance if you need to gather evidence to prove the identity theft and that the culprit is not you. If you fail to appear you can wind up being the one found guilty!!!
