Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
In March of 2009 i was arrested for possession of cannabis under 2.5 grams and possession of paraphernalia. A month later i was arrested again for illegal consumption by a minor. i blew .033 aside from these 3 i have no priors. with these three charges what kind of time am i looking at ? (minimum?) (maximum?) (most likely?)
1 Answer from Attorneys
Possession of under 2.5 grams of cannabis is a class C misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail. The paraphernalia charge is a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to 1 year in jail. The illegal consumption charge sentence depends on whether you've been charged with a state charge or city ordinance.
You need to hire an attorney to get the best outcome for you. Since you're still young, resolving your case without proper legal advice could effect you in your future (potential jobs, education, etc.)
good luck
