What should i do if i missed a court date for a drinking ticket in illinois?
I was issued a drinking ticket on the cta. i missed the court date and received a letter stating that there is now a warrant for my arrest. can i just pay the fine or do i have to appear in front of a judge.

Paying your fine will not clear the warrant. You will need to either have the warrant quashed and recalled or executed by your arrest.
