Pardons expungement and seals
Can I be compensated by the city or state for the nearly 20 years that I have had convicted of a misdemenor but the record shows a feolony conviction instead making it impossible to find employment?

This is not a criminal law question, but a civil law question. There is a possibility that you may be able to file a lawsuit. The question is, why did you wait so long to do something about this? When were you last denied a job because of your criminal record? The statute of limitations is 2 years from the last time you were denied a job because of your record, or from the time you found out about this. Please contact me so we can discuss this.
